Epithelialization of the Anterior Chamber After Cataract Extraction - Joseph C Kim
Dr. Joseph C. Kim was an author on this paper:
Bernardino VB, Kim JC, Smith TR. Epithelialization of the Anterior Chamber After Cataract Extraction. Arch Ophthalmol. 1969;82(6):742-750. doi:10.1001/archopht.1969.00990020734004.
The clinical and histopathological findings of 24 cases of epithelial invasion of the anterior chamber are reported. The incidence of epithelial invasion following 26,471 cataract extractions in a large hospital where the fornix-based flap is used is no higher compared to incidences in other institutions.

Cardiac transplant outcome of patients supported on left ventricular assist device vs intravenous inotropic therapy
Joseph C Kim was an author on a paper titled:
Cardiac transplant outcome of patients supported on left ventricular assist device vs intravenous inotropic therapy
The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation
Volume 20, Issue 4 , Pages 449-456, April 2001
This study was presented in part at the 19th Scientific Session of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, San Francisco, California, April 1999.
Cardiac Transplant Research Database Research Group
Although the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) has been increasingly used as a bridge to transplant, its effect on post-transplant outcome is uncertain. We, therefore, designed this study using the Cardiac Transplant Research Database to compare patients supported on an LVAD before transplant with those treated with intravenous inotropic medical therapy.
